I often go to DVD rental shop and rent some DVDs. I recently watch "The Notebook" (Japanese means "Kimi ni yomu Monogatari".) It's very good movie. I was strongly impression by it.
This movie' s story is as follow: A old man reads the lovestory for a old sick woman. She is dementia (she forgets memories while she was young). She always cannot get out her sickroom but she looks forward to listening to lovestory talked by him.
The story is... There is a beautiful girl whose family is very rich. She is seventeen. One day a man meets her in theme park by accident. He likes her immediately. But she is different. She thinks he is stranger. He ask to have a date and she say "OK" unwillingly. They go to see a movie. The man Noah is very funny so the girl Allison was interested in him. They fall in love soon.
In summer time, they had a great time. But her parents know their relation. Her parents tell her not to meet him from now on. She refuses the advice. But when he find that she is in a hard lot, he decide good-bye. She is very sad and move far with her family. So, they never meet each other. But he write a lot of letters to her. However, she doesn't know. Because, her mother never shows her the letters.
Past a long time, she find him on picture at newspaper. Already, she has new boy friend, but she go to see him. They have't met since a few years. They fall in love again. They get marry against her parents. They have a very very good time together...
But, she gets Alzheimer's disease. She have no memories.
So, the old sick woman is allison. The man reading book for her is Noah. She doesn't remember him, but he read their story with believing she remember their memories. One day she remembers him and herself. They become happy. But they die on the her bed together.
It is my favorite love story. I was impressed with Noah's love to Allison. I want to see again.
Performing Allison is Rachel McAdams.
They are Canadians and they are good acter and actress!
